Boost for Pride and Rebels and Durham hit positive note

It took Essex Rebels the whole of their rookie season to rack up three league wins during 2019-20, but this time they have achieved the feat by the second week of January. They celebrated an exciting 66-63 win against Cardiff Met Archers and are now knocking on the door of the Play-Offs. Jessy Ward starred with an all-action 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

Caledonia Pride doubled their win tally for the season as they beat fellow strugglers BA London Lions 57-49 on the road to condemn their rivals to an unwanted 0-10 record. Stella Fouraki and Hannah Robb did the business as they led the way with 18 and 16 points respectively.

Durham Palatinates moved into a positive account and 5-4 for the season in the WBBL Championship after completing a crushing 82-37 success against Oaklands Wolves. Claire Paxton and Kara Elderkin shared 36 points, with the latter making 87% from the floor and completing a double-double with 12 boards.
