All-Star Five – Week 18

This week’s line up has no fewer than three debutantes and our new faces are joined by two players who booked their third starting slot of the campaign.

Dee Hayward (Durham Palatinates)
It’s the third time as a starter for Hayward who ends a long gap between her last appearance with a superb showing in the win at Wildcats. Hayward posted an excellent shooting performance for 24 points, while also adding 5 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Dorka Boros (Oaklands Wolves)
Our first debutante, Boros was in super form as Oaklands re-ignited their push towards the Play-Offs with a massive victory in the south-east derby against BA London Lions. She helped her team to tear past their opponents with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

We have got THREE debutantes this week in our line-up. Congrats to Dorka Boros of Oaklands Basketball Sara Hinriksdottir…

Chelsea Small (Essex Rebels)
It’s a third starting place of the season for Small, who was at the centre of a stellar weekend victory for Rebels. She led Essex in their win at Wildcats with a monstrous display on the glass, grabbing 16 rebounds and also contributing 8 points, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Sara Hinriksdottir (Leicester Riders)
Our second debutante is hardly a surprise new entrant, since she has been excellent all-season long. Hinriksdottir finally gets the nod in style as our Player of the Week, having recorded a fabulous 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

Chantelle Pressley (FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters)
While it’s a first appearance of the campaign for Pressley, she has featured many times earlier in her WBBL career. Her return comes after leading Sheffield past Newcastle with 19 points after going 87% from the field and adding 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

Off the Bench – Simone Costa (Nottingham Wildcats), Lauren Milligan (Oaklands Wolves), Christina Gaskin (Leicester Riders), Janice Monakana (Sevenoaks Suns), Cristina Bigica (Cardiff Met Archers), Asha Thomas (FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters), Abby Rendle (Essex Rebels).
